It is really difficult today to discover someone who hasn't come upon the theory of positive thinking or has not researched a book or two on the matter of positive thinking. Just about every intelligent individual knows about the benefits of positive thinking. But how many of us are utilizing the positive thinking approach in our day to day life consistently? commonly we read a book on positive thinking, get enthusiastic and then after few weeks --usually only after few days, go back to our normal style of thinking. Why are we not taking positive thinking as our way of essence? Is this form of thinking very hard to adopt, or is it that our setting and individuals around us are so negative that it is all but hopeless for an individual to become positive and continue so? Really if you contemplate about it, people really do not adhere with this positive-thinking approach. Why? Mainly Because of two reasons. People fail to understand the essence of the inner workings of positive thinking and apply it in a wrong way. People expect lightning fast outcomes and when people do not see any clear benefit with in a period of two to three days they loose interest. And progressively their regular thought pattern comes back. It is said that 80% of the thoughts of a normal person are not positive. When we start thinking positively we just accommodate a new course of thought --which is positive-- with all our unpositive thoughts. “I will get the raise easily”. This is a conscious thought stream. But in the evening returning home from work we keep thinking unpositivly and how difficult it is going to be. This unpositive thought comes to our brain automatically (unconsciously). We process this thought with lots of unpositive emotion. And all these happen without our being aware of what we are doing. To free the full power of positive thinking you have to arrest and kill negative thought process. It is not back breaking and with practice it becomes easier. So how do we get accelerated results from our positive thinking efforts. The answer to this question is there is no easy way to get results overnight. When used properly positive thinking has the power to do wonders in your life. The best thing to do is get started. After that stay immersed and the results will come.
